The General Education committee is a subcommittee of the Ontario Colleges Liberal Arts and Science Council comprised of faculty and administrators responsible for General Education curriculum. Mandated to make recommendations on educational policies and objectives of a province-wide nature, this collaborative group is focused on the promotion of general educational practices in applied settings.

Providing General Education through the Ontario college system contributes to the development of citizens who are conscious of the diversity, complexity, and richness of the human experience; who are able to establish meaning through this consciousness; and, who, as a result, are able to contribute thoughtfully, creatively, and positively to the society in which they live and work.
